Whistle

The Masters of Musical Whistling… the largest convergence of whistlers on the planet where competitors go head to head, vying for the ultimate prize of World Champion. As tensions build, and judges look on, this eccentric ensemble of musical outsiders compete not just for glory, but for acceptance.
Among them: Lauren, a New York theatre actress battling anxiety; Ayna, a fiercely ambitious Spanish circus performer; Yuki, a musical prodigy from Japan who always comes in second; Molly, the breakout whistling pop star; Davitt, a volunteer who shares his passion for music with Alzheimer’s patients: and finally Jay, a teacher who gave up on Broadway, now hoping to make his students proud.
Presiding over it all is ‘The Whistling Diva’ herself, Carole Anne Kaufman – a suburban hairdresser and the visionary producer behind the competition. She must manage her “strong personality” as she navigates financial jeopardy and backstage drama on a quest to elevate the art-form of whistling – just when the world needs it most.
